ABOUT THE TRUST

The Windle Charitable Trust awards grants to postgraduate students studying Art or Art History at universities or colleges in the UK.  

The Trust does not have an application form.  However, applicants wishing to apply for a grant should provide the following information:

what is being studied
where the studies are taking place
examples of previous work where appropriate
details of previous academic studies
why a grant is necessary and how the money would be used
an academic referee who can confirm this information.

Please note that funding cannot be retrospective and can apply only to current studies.  

Applications are welcome from UK or overseas students, but only for courses at UK universities or colleges.

Grants are awarded for one year only and typically range from £500 to £2,000.  

Any successful applicant will be required to show that the grant has been spent appropriately.

PLEASE NOTE: Grants for 2008 have already been allocated, and no more applications can be considered until May 2009.
